I never watched the show, but does anyone here remember her from "You Can't Do That On Television?" I expect that she'd seem quite different back then, aside from just being younger.
Yes, it was the coolest show for us Canadians and she is the same age as me so I was right into it! I had the same boy haircut that she did too. I had no idea that she was the same person who later became the pop star. I didn't put two and two together until I became obsessed with Jagged Little Pill.
I can always remember JLP being the most played album around when I was younger and to a certain degree the success of it became a millstone around her neck. If she's happy now then it would reflect in her music and maybe she just wouldn't hit the spot as she did then.
Alanis, I have many friends who hate her but I must say she is one of the best singers ever. I will always listen to her music and even if she doesn't ever come out with another album she will still be one of my "current" favorites!
