  1. I don't know that anyone can really follow this guidelines without getting fat and going broke! I do try to eat healthy foods and take a multi-vitamin supplement every day though.

It should not be that difficult to eat 5 a day. I realise that expense can be a burden, but If you eat 2 tomatoes, drink a glass of orange juice, have a portion of broccoli and two carrots with your dinner.. thats your five a day...

The way I do it, is to have a banana in the morning, a smoothie (normally 2 of 5 a day) or a salad lunchtime and two veggies with my dinner in the evening. Or I might have a big salad at lunchtime and an apple... with some juice... 5 a day.. sorted..

There are some cheaper things you can use to help get more of your daily allowances. carrots, tomatoes, peppers, apples, are all pretty cheap normally... if you look for fruit and veg in season, they are also cheaper. If you have some space in your back yard you can grow some simple veggies, that also taste much better than shop bought,.,,

See if there are any local farmer's markets to get fresh produce because it's often cheaper and fresher. Bell peppers that can cost up to 3.99 each at the store are 75 cents at the farmer's market.
