I just want someone in customer service to be friendly and do their job. I don't need them to read straight from the manual, but I don't want to be able to tell they're having a horrible day and taking it out on me. So, I guess I want somewhere in between.
Being at customer service needs a balance of emotions and a realization of the fact that any customer sitting before needs to be served well and has no interest in whatever it is you might be going through.
Don't like salesmen, they try sell me something that I know is rubbish -.-, He also tried to tell me about computers, I was like "I know what that part does, I know.. , I know..." again and again. Some just don't get the message.
I prefer the "in between" approach. I hate sales people following me around in the store, for instance. If I am interested in something, or have a question, I will ask them!
I agree that sales can be a really nagging topic especially when someone is trying to promote a product you have little interest in. Indeed if you are interested in something, no one needs to follow you around.
I hate it when you tell them no, and then they try to get you to get it anyway. I said no and in a minute I am not going to change my mind. I know it is their job but do they like to be handled that way?
Some people don't like it when a customer service worker who you just met calls you by your first name, as opposed to calling you "Mr. Brown." However, I sort of like it. In my opinion, it's more personable if they call me "Mike" instead of "Mr. Brown," even if I don't know the person.
