My children listen to all kinds of music. I believe it is what we teach our children that develops them. I listened to some pretty hard rock bands when I was a kid and so far I haven't killed anybody.
All you hear about is how it's terrible that our children are listening to music with inappropriate lyrics, but like Orrymain pointed out, adults shouldn't be listening to music with no-good lyrics either. There's plenty of TV shows and movies that adults and kids shouldn't be seeing either. Kids are impressionable. But so aren't many adults.
