I love Firefox but it's been crashing a lot recently, and I'm not sure why. I saw an article talking about this, so I'm curious if anyone else is having an issue in the last few weeks or not.

I always use firefox and can't say that I have experienced these problems.

Have you updated to the latest stable version? If yes, remember that if you have any firefox extensions (such as toolbars etc) these may need to be updated too.

To update the extensions you need to:

    1) From the menu bar, click on Tools -> Add-ons
    2) Click on Extensions and then on Find updates.

It will tell you if any need updating.

No crashes for me, either, and I use FF all the time. On a rare occasion, I'd come across a site that FF would not open for some reason, and IE does show it. Don't know why... But other than that, it's working fine for me.

It's been crashing about once every couple of days. I have just checked for updates to everything so we'll see if it improves. Maybe I need to reinstall a clean copy but I hate to go through all of the installation and settings nightmare again.

When I used firefox, about a year ago, it always crahsed for me. It is the worst browser.

It may not be perfect, but it is definitely not the worst. Internet explorer is horrible. I don't know about Chrome, but I really like Firefox.

Since I updated my Firefox browser to version 4.0, I have been experiencing the same issue. It crashes when I am in the middle of researching something important.

I haven't gone to 4.0 myself. I do have new issues with Firefox that began with the update to 3.6.15. They've gone to 3.6.16 now but the problems still seem to be there.
