I easily eat that much servings of fruits and vegetables a day. I have a few servings for lunch and dinner. After dinner, I always have a bowl of fruit
I'm vegetarian so it's usually not too hard to get all my servings in. However I admit I'm not a huge fan of fruit (or sweets in general) so I make a lot of green smoothies - blended up fruit with some dark leafy greens tossed in for good measure. It's not as bad as it sounds, and the energy boost is unbelievable (especially if you use spinach - sometimes I literally feel my body buzzing after). To this I add Vega which is a live-food (raw) powdered supplement that has pretty much everything your body needs in a day. Yay for cheating for health!
I definitely eat the recommended servings of both fruit and vegetables. I try to only buy fresh foods to snack on. I also don't buy much of anything processed. It's pretty easy when you don't buy temptation foods .
This reminds me that I bought some grapes the other day and they are still in the fridge. My mind just doesn't think fruits and veggies.
We have some canned fruit as part of our stash in case of an emergency. After a few weeks or months, we use that up and replace it. Sometimes we have frozen fruit for smoothies - I think you can get quite a few servings that way.
