Does anyone else have a netbook? I have one and love the convenience of it. It's easy to grab it and take it anywhere with you, and the speed is pretty good too.

You know, sometimes I get lost in all these tech terms, some of them interchangeable, others not. A netbook is a small, slim notebook, right? Different from iPad? :)

We have an iPad, and I do find it very convenient. My husband mostly uses it for work.

Yes a netbook is a smaller version of a laptop.

I only have a laptop and home tower computer. I can see a notebook being handy in some cases but as I already have a laptop I have no need for one.

Yep, that's exactly what they. I was given one as a gift. I have a regular sized laptop too and a desktop so I would have never went out and bought one, but now that I have it I think I prefer it over the others. Only problems is that the keyboard is not quite as good as the regular laptop.

Netbooks, are pretty cool same with Ipads. Did anyone hear Windows version of the Ipad is coming out for like half the price of an I pad or something like that?

Really? That would be awesome. I've always wanted to own but just couldn't justify spending so much when we already have so many others computers and electronics.

OK, so netbook is a small notebook. :) Good, I was correct. Well, since we already have a laptop and an iPad, I don't see any use for a netbook at the moment, these two cover everything - work, email movie watching, even ebook reading.

I was thinking about getting one a few months back but like you. I have a laptop, home pc and mobile phone so dont really see the need for one. For someone who mainly works on their home PC but does not have a laptop I guess this is a good solution.

The problem I think with a netbook compared to a Tablet (such as IPAD) is that you still have to wait for it to boot up. It normally has a smaller screen, less memory, less cpu and less disk space than a laptop.

I’m not comfortable with having a netbook, the OS installed with it is a starter version, the specs are usually low and the keyboard is too small for me.

I have a netbook and I like it a lot more than I should, except for the battery which I think is junk. It was supposed to last 4 hours but are just a short time, it was down to nothing. They sent me a replacement and I'm lucky if I get 2 full hours out of it.
