Just wondering if anyone else does a bit of training? I started bout two months ago, been doing death stuff. Sprints, bag runs, speed chinups, mass situps, loads of curls. Seeing some shape coming into stomach, outline of a six.

Went from a 120 - 140 in the two months. I'm sitting around 140 - 150 right now.

Shit, getting good mate.

I use to do a boxing course, which included of most of the activities you just listed. I also did MMA, and I am probably starting that again soon.

Yeah, you just need to work on the muscles and weight basically, then get the right boxing technique and shit. MMA is a great sport and it's quite fun, although I'd never look into it for a proper sport. I see it more as a training program to help me keep myself fit whilst playing AFL.

If it's muscular gain your looking for, a tip that would be good is whilst your in bed. Just before you go to sleep, do 50-100 Sit-Up. Do this about 3 Times a day and it should tone your stomach alot ;) Worked for me last year, then I quit

Kind Regards,

Tyler.

I'm a scrapper, I've gotten some MMA training, nothing like judo or jiu jitsu yet.

I do quick flexing sits when I'm laying down, I flex as hard as possible and then do about 15 quick situps. Really burns the abs, then I keep doing them til about 100, exhale, and start again.

good work mate..

when I was younger I did lots of martial arts, like jujitsu, karate etc, but never found it interesting... Still don't to this day tbh..

i've been body building for 3 years now, but out of those 3, 1 year was professionally where i am entering my first competition soon.

i try and train everyday for a few hours, apart from weekends where i am out looking for a job lol.

if u wanna get in shape u need to eat properly. i eat 4 meals a day, all of which are tuna and pasta meals lol. some steak when i am starving. i also drink protein drinks which substitute for meals..

the abs are link any other muscle in your body... i know loads of people who do 100+ reps to work their abs but it does nothing good. you wouldn't do 100 bicep curls? :P

i train my abs hard once a week and it consists of:

situps, 12 reps, 3 sets

crunches, 8 reps, 3 sets - using a 5lb weight

hip raise, 20 reps, 1 set - for the lower abs

hanging leg raises, as many as i can do, 1 set - for the lower abs

protein shake, done.

I just do sit-ups, push-ups, lifting weights and other random crap.

Grab a punching bag, leather or standard material, put a plastic mat under it, tape it or get on properly, get something like a harness (I use one that telephone pole worker guys use), tie it around your stomach and run or walk with the bag. Really does work for your legs / calves and helps with your abs if you flex while your doing it.

I used to do boxing a few years back. Then my coach moved. I had to find a new hobby. meh..

I'm going to be training with a trainer soon. I want to gain some more muscle. I look pretty pale right now :(

Any ideas of what work outs I can do at home when I get bored to start working out? ;o

Pushups work almost every part of your upper body.. Biceps, triceps, chest, and a bit of shoulder.

Crunches work your abdominal area

Pull ups work your lats

You need to eat a healthy diet and do lots of cardio vascular to remove body fat. Else there's really no point.

But they are no substitute for the gym. If you want to get ripped you need to get down to the gym.

Oh well in that case you need to do lots of cardio vascular such as running, and jogging, and eat less food.

You can try the carb cycling diet which is good for fast weight loss. But you got to be dedicated.
